Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Library Online: Borrowing Services

Do you have a library account? If so, then you can check out items two ways. Before using the catalog make sure you have your library ID number to check out materials. If you would like to have an account, visit the Library Registration tab and follow the instructions.

Options for Checking Out Materials

1. Go to the library catalog link below to search and request desired items. Items not housed at Akron General can be requested from other libraries through interlibrary loan. You will use your library ID Number and Name to check out materials. When checking out, select NEOMED as your school/pick-up institution, and then Akron General as your pick-up location. Feel free to contact the Librarian for assistance with using the library catalog if needed.

2.. Inter-library loan items requested through OhioLINK are delivered through courier services. Delivery can take a few weeks depending on availability and courier services. The Medical Library will contact you to make arrangements when your items arrive. 

Items can be checked out for 3 weeks.

Renewal - Items can be renewed up to 3 times if not being requested by another caregiver.
