Definition of Mentor: The definition of a mentor, according to Magnet, is "an experienced nurse who has developed expertise and can be a strong force in shaping a nurse's identity as a professional. Mentoring can include providing information, advice, support, and ideas. Typically, mentors and mentees have a long-lasting relationship. The terms 'mentor' and 'preceptor' are not used interchangeably."

Nurses Utilizing Resources Successfully and Engaging in Support Systems
The N.U.R.S.E.S.S. Toolkit is designed to support the development of Cleveland Clinic Nurses at all levels. Here you will find a variety of tools, links, and resources developed to support nurses across all areas of nursing. Utilize and share these tools among the members of your team.
The Simulation Lab at Cleveland Clinic Akron General is located in the Nursing Department on the second floor. It is used by Nursing Professional Development to assist in and enrich nursing education classes such as Nursing Residency, Obstetric Simulations, and many more. We are proud to offer low to high fidelity simulations and equipment to our caregivers.
